ITI FAQs

  • WHAT HAPPENS DURING A TYPICAL ITI WEEK?
An ITI has several components. Interactive teaching occurs each day over a four-day period as participants discover and apply practical biblical truth to their lives. Prayer is also vital, as ITI leaders desire to pray for each participant. Worship and great times building relationships fill out the week.
  • HOW LONG IS EACH CLASS?
The class sessions are approximately four hours in length each day over four days. Typically a participant takes one course in the morning of each day and another course in the afternoon of those days. As a result, students can complete two courses over the four day period.
  • HOW MANY COURSES ARE THERE?
The curriculum was designed to equip leaders to live vibrant, healthy Christian lives and advance ministries with great effectiveness. Eight courses make up the curriculum. Several provide a needed biblical framework like How to Study the Bible, Old Testament, and New Testament overviews. Other courses address the development of both ministries and personal lives that lead to effectiveness that is honoring to God, such as Discipleship and Character Development, Relationships, and Leadership. Some courses provide clarity in seeing how life works and God’s purposes in this world through us, like Ministering in the Power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus and the Gospels.
  • WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES TO ATTEND AN ITI?
We ask that participants be learners, willing to discover and apply God’s truth to their lives. We often speak of the ITI affecting our heads (what we learn), hearts (who we are becoming), and hands (how we live and serve Christ).
  • WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I COMPLETE THE ITI CURRICULUM?
Graduation occurs at the completion of all eight courses. Typically this happens over two years as participants remain in ministry. Some graduates join our teaching or intercessory teams multiplying ITI training to additional locations and people groups.
  • DO I NEED TO LEAVE MY HOME, WORK, AND MINISTRY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ITI?
The ITI model brings quality training to many places. We want participants to remain in their ministries and with their families, devoting time to four one-week ITI trainings. The model opens the door to tens of thousands of Christian leaders who otherwise might be excluded from training due to financial or practical reasons.
  • WHERE IS THE NEAREST ITI TRAINING?
ITI trainings occur in multiple locations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Asia. Contact ITI leaders for the nearest site or for information in beginning ITI training in your area.
